Pelican & Succulents
One of my favorite things to do is take my dog Scout to the beach in Del Mar. We used to live in that area and took her often. She appears to remember it well because she starts whining on the 5 when the Del Mar exit approaches. When we actually take the exit, her joy is uncontainable and contagious. This week, I was reminded what a magical place Del Mar is in the Spring. The fragrances that blend together with the ocean are like none other. And the homes on the streets closest to the beach are individual, unique, and East Coastish which makes this long-time transplant feel at home.
This particular house had lovely roses on the street level and on the upstairs porch, the most colorful succulents I've ever seen. Aren't they amazing? Do treat yourself soon and take a drive to Torrey Pines Beach, Power House Park or Dog Beach and breathe deeply.
